Let's get ready to start Unit 3! Unit 3 has to do with navigating some travel situations and expressing basic needs in airport and hotel situations.
In this post, you need to do a few things (in English) so that I can teach you better (#studentguidedlearning):

Use at least the following 10 (ten pts. each on this post):
Jugaba Tenía Era + [personality] Era + [physical traits] Quería Me gustaba Me encantaba (used to love) Odiaba (used to hate) Iba (I used to go) Vivía (I used to live) Add pictures for up to 1 extra pt. each! (10 max.) 1. Click here for information on Friday's reading.
2. Click here for information on Friday's second reading. 3. Click here, browse, and choose your five favorite snaps. 4. Save and insert those five favorite pictures into your post and translate their captions. 5. Number 1-15 and complete the following Unit 2 recall assessment in your post (just put the letter): 1. Make sure you're ready for your speaking assessment (I'll start calling you over in a few minutes): 2. Print off your new vocabulary sheet from the eClass calendar, whichever copy you want (or both). 3. Now, use that new Unit 2 vocabulary to write FIVE things about your childhood. 4. Add 5 pictures. 5 pictures + 5 statements = 100 pts. (Example: "Yo era consentida." = "I was spoiled.") FINALLY! You have control!
Today, you're designing one OR TWO (for +5 pts.) activities for this week, and we'll test them out in class. By the end of Unit 1, remember that your main Can-Do statements include, "I can describe my morning and nighttime routines," "I can interpret what someone else does for their routines," "I can understand the order of events of routines when told or spoken to," among others. Using routines, body parts, products, and EVERYTHING from Unit 1 that you can: 85 pts.: Create an exit card or warm-up that tests you and your classmates 90 pts.: Create/Design a game or class activity (include a description and the materials we'll need) 95 pts.: Create a test section that you and your classmates will see on Friday's actual summative assessment (test) 100 pts.: Do 2 of the above If we use yours this week, you get an extra +5 pts. on Friday's summative assessment (test). Tip: The best advice I can give is to create/design in Microsoft Word and then either make a link to the file to your Google Drive, OR, insert screen shots using Snipping Tool. Task: Preview this week's lessons and describe your daily routine. Requirements: Use all of the purple terms for the morning all of the green terms for nighttime. Put them in the order that they happen and add a time. Use at least 5 red transition words. Add at least 10 images total. 10 Images: 1 pt. each (10 total) 5 Transition words: 3 pts. each (15 total) 20 Routines: 3.75 pts. each (75 total) Example: 1. 04:30 - Primero me despierto. 2. 04:45 - Después, me levanto. ***************** Durante Primero Entonces Después Finalmente Típicamente Normalmente Me cepillo los dientes. Me cepillo el pelo. Me quito el pijama. Me despierto. Me levanto. Me pongo la ropa. Me baño. {or} Me ducho. Me lavo la cara. Veo mi celular. + 1 otra actividad (tu decisión) Me cepillo los dientes. Me cepillo el pelo. Me quito la ropa. Veo mi celular. Me acuesto. Me baño. {or} Me ducho. Me duermo. Me pongo el pijama. Me lavo la cara. + 1 otra atividad (tu decisión) ^^ Make sure you get one of these checklists on paper to fill out!
BLOG POST 1 CRITERIA:
=100 pts. total - ASSESSED TODAY, no late turn-ins Feedback will be in the comments section of your blog! As a World Language teacher, there are a lot of values that I hold close to my heart. Below are ten of those values, what Domyei (1998) calls the "10 Commandments for Motivating Language Learners". I think as a teacher this is a great list to live and teach by. However, I don't know if they are happening without feedback from YOU, the student, the most important person in teaching and learning. Similar to Friday's reflection on Spanish 1, I want you to think back over the semester and assess how 1-10 happened, and in what ways. If you can, give examples. Be honest, yet careful and appropriate with your wording and tone. The more information the better, and of course for something like this, write this reflection in English. Also, keep in mind that most times your teachers are VERY intentional with what they plan, how they react, how you are assessed, the timing of certain activities, and much, MUCH more. Note: If there's time, reflect on your proficiency growth, too, from Novice Low (probably) to Novice Mid or Novice High, and the skills you acquired with Spanish. 1. Print your new vocabulary sheet: https://goo.gl/sEQ5YN
2. Add and look up any others that you want (Unit 5 is all about things to do in town and clothing - add any you want to use and are curious about!) 3. Complete FOUR of the SIX activities on Quizlet - make sure you're a part of our 'class' so I can see your score(s): quizlet.com/join/aJCBWbJZK 4. After seeing the definitions, fill in your printed vocabulary sheet w/ the English. 5. Copy & paste ALL new Unit 5 vocabulary and definitions into Blog Post 12. 1. Click on the links below to contribute to all FIVE Padlets - add topic-appropriate text (in Spanish), pictures, etc. according to the topic (favorite food, your typical exercise amounts, healthy foods, unhealthy foods, etc.). = 25 pts.
Padlet 1 Padlet 2 Padlet 3 Padlet 4 Padlet 5 2. Copy/paste the following FIVE topics into your post, same as the Padlet ones, and list/categorize appropriately - add pictures, memes, etc. to make it more visually appealing/expressive of you: a. Mi Comida Favorita b. Mi Ejercicio Típico c. Mi Comida Típica d. Comida Saludable e. Comida NO Saludable =25 pts. 3. Take these FIVE quizzes and post your results in your post (example: Frutas: 9/10, Vegetales: 8/10, etc.): https://www.choosemyplate.gov/quiz =25 pts. 4. Go to this document and translate into English FIVE of the ten tips for staying healthy/in-shape in college (just the heading - don't use electronic resources, problem-solve and collaborate w/ someone near you!). =25 pts. ****** Don't forget EdPuzzle13, DUE TODAY! New seating chart and layout tomorrow! :) |
