El Corte Inglés ("The English Cut"), a popular department store in Spain, is the largest department store chain in Europe and one of the largest in the world. At the site, click on “Todos los Departamentos” and you'll be working under the category of “Moda y accesorios”. You should be looking under the sections for “Mujer” or “Joven Ella”, “Hombre” or “Joven Él” plus “zapatos” and “accesorios” (see picture below). I suggest purchasing at least one: top, pants, shoes, jacket/accessory. You may also purchase additional items such as accessories if you have additional money leftover. Click on the item to read description; choose size/color if applicable, then click to add them to your basket (añadir a la cesta). Screenshot your cart and put the photo in your Blog Post 14 (example picture below). Then put how much you spent in dollars (convert link here). 1. Type in your script for this week's Unit 3 Speaking Assessment (where you're going, what you packed in your little suitcase, why you packed that [activities, weather, etc.]). The expectation is Intermediate Low (below):
1. Read at least FIVE other blogs and politely comment ON THEIR BLOG, ONE praise and ONE overall suggestion/critique, making sure both are appropriate. Choose anyone: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GGq4LdGIrj51eNoZVG3VZex3kgfgbVJryLeVXbPMkrk/edit?usp=sharing
(Again, comment DIRECTLY on their blog! If they don't have a space for comments, choose another!) 2. Try last Friday's EdPuzzle.com again -- this time, EdPuzzle's errors are fixed! *** Now, in your actual blog post 11: *** 3. Check out a lot of the ideas from Mrs. White's conference over the weekend and https://storify.com/PRHSspanish/scolt2017 and comment on a few (in your post), from your perspective as a student acquiring a language every day! (20 pts. apiece, up to 100, so choose at least 5!) 4. Turn in here: https://goo.gl/forms/6w1ttlWe8QK7fsDB2
1. Translate and type Part 3 of El Hotel Elegante into Blog Post #9 - a full translation, NOT a summary, be specific!
2. Use sketch.io/sketchpad/ to create at least six original images that tell the story, WITHOUT captions. 3. Send to https://goo.gl/forms/9LfIvUInt1hokr4D2 In Post #8, you are to type out your TRANSLATION (not summary!) of Part 1 of El Hotel Elegante. I am looking for FIVE specific sentences, so be careful that it 1. "sounds right" in English, and 2. that you aren't just typing out the main ideas and you miss the specifics (example: it isn't "a woman wants to go to Cancun," it says specifically, "There is a woman who wants to go on vacation, she wants to go to Cancun," etc.
